Nails Inc and leopard print nail art

Hi guys
Today I have a simple mani I made for a wedding I went to on Friday night. I love this mani because I got to use many elements from expensive (Nails Inc) to bargain ( Sally Hansen)

The wear of Nails Inc Noho is amazing! These pictures are of day three and as you can see no chips and slight wear on the edges. For the print I used Sally Hansen Get money as my base and used my konad plate for the leopard print.

I wore this with a bright coral/pink dress and I loved it. What do you think? Is this party perfect?
Thanks for reading!

Nails Inc Leather Effect Swatch

Hi guys! So this is a super fun post for me, I finally get to use my Nails Inc Leather Effect Kit I got for Valentines Day. That's right guys, all I wanted for Valentines day was nail polish! This polish starts out Glossy but then slowly dries to a leather effect. This polish is not bumpy and feels like a soft nail file. I'm very aware of what is on my body ( when I wear contacts I can feel them in my eyes the whole day) and I was very aware of this polish all day. But is was not unpleasant. I love the effect it makes and it is very unique from anything I own.

Here I used the studs and the skull that come with the pack. I used the glue that comes in the pack to glue all the studs and skulls. The studs are very durable and I bet the skulls would have stayed longer on my ring finger if I wasn't running around and picking up kids all day. Not something I will wear on a weekday when I'm working with my little clients.

I swatched the polish by itself. Two coats, waiting two minutes or so between coats.
This polish is great for a TOP coat for nail art. I would not recommend it for a base. I tried to make white lines 15 minute after application and its smudged together, not cute. I then applied a base of Sally Hansen White on, used tape to make the diamonds and added black. It worked out better this way, clean lines and no smudges.

This is what you get in the back. On the nails inc website you only get the skulls. My Fiance bought this at sephora for $25 and you get crystals and studs along with the skulls. The crystals are Swarovski crystals so quality is great.

This is what is looks like without the skull. I didn't use all the items in the kit. I didn't want to much on my nails, the polish adds enough effect as it is. I will add that the studs would occasionally get stuck in my hair, but no other problems beyond that.

So what do you think? With all the new textures out there, is this something you would add to your collection.
Enjoy!

My Valentines Mani Using China Glaze

Hi Guys!
Happy Valentines Day! Today Im going to give lots of hugs to my mom, my lil clients, my brother and of course my lovely Fiance. For me Valentine Day is giving love to everyone. Last year I showed all my love to mom, and bought my now fiance some candy.
Any way this years mani is very different from any I have done. If you look back at my other posts you will notice I have done a lot of pinks and reds, and so on. So for  today I wanted to try something different and cool. With this mani I feel like Frida Kahlo came and gave me inspiration. I love it.

I like the keys I made on my thumb. One is for my mother and the other is for my fiancé. They hold the keys to my heart :) ( today I can be cheesy right!)
All was done with a small art brush and dotting tool.
Base coat used is China glaze liquid leather.

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Love and respect all who are special to you each and everyday.
Thank you for reading my blog.

Have a wonderful day!

10 Days of Valentine Day 8 Black and white tutori

Hi all
Todays mani has to be one of my favorites so far, it doesn't scream Vday, but it is very feminine, and again it's for those of you who don't care for Valentines Day. This would go great with that little black dress too.

Mani Time: 20 minutes (yeay!)

Nail Polish used
Black : Wet n Wild Ebony Hated Chris
I tried to make these mani simple and easy, as well as economical. The black I used is Wet n Wild Ebony hates Chris. This polish is non expensive and can be found anywhere. It is streaky and takes about two coats to cover ( my china glaze only needs one). For nail art it not the best because even though it say fast dry, it still streaks when you add a topcoat. If you are not willing to invest in more expensive nail polishes, it is always a good idea to invest in a good top coat such as Seche Vite. It helps to prevent streaking, I have used others and the only one I stick to is Seche Vite. Also the polish is not very shiny on its own, the topcoat made it much better and makes it last longer. I used this because like I said it's a basic black, I dont want to spend a lot on a basic black, and my topcoat saves me from disaster.

White
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear : White on
Great polish and not very expensive, dry time is great and it's great for nail art.

Glitter
Sally Hansen Gem Crush: Big Money

After the hearts do a glitter gradient on the other nails. Check out this tutorial made by Lissapolishaddiction. It's a great video to check out.

I simply loved it.. I might just do this for my Vday mani it's so simple and yet so cute.
Enjoy!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 29 Inspired by a blogger

Hi
Well todays challenge is super fun for me because I get to talk about my favorite blogger Alexis from  Glittertips. I recently started following her after the 31 Day Challenge began and I was in total amazement when I saw all the beautiful nail art she makes. Everything she creates seems to unite so perfectly.  She is a British blogger and I am totally jealous of all the great polish she has available to her that I don't. In her honor my inspiration came from her blog's name, glitter tips.

For this look I used:
Wet n Wild ' Ebony Hates Chris as my base. One coat was very streaky, I had to apply two coats.
For the glitter tips: Sally Hansen  Gem Crush Big Money under China Glaze Hello Gorgeous!
I topped it off with Revlon no chip topcoat
Love love love this look, the black really made the glitter pop!

Let it Snow Challenge Snow Men

Hi all,
This weeks inspiration for the Challenge is Snowmen. I live in California where there is no snow, and if I want snow I have to drive four hours to lake Tahoe on a good year and find some snow. I have tried to make an snowman many times and I am proud to say that every try was a FAIL!. I wish my real snowmen came out like the ones on my nails.

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 24 Inspired by a game

Hi
Todays Challenge is inspired by a game. Well this wasn't very hard for me, I'm a gamer inside and I love it. I have a Wii at home and love Mario Bros. On my phone I have a lot of puzzle game. So when I saw todays challenge, I thought of only one game CONTRE JOUR. A very fun game with a very cute "monster" the object of the game is to get him to the "light". The music is so beautiful and serene, I could play this all day, and I have :).

For this look I used the following
Base : Two coats of OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!
For the sponging I first layered Zoya Carey and then Maybeline Porcelan Party .
For the little flowers and details and my little monster I used Finger Paints Nail art In Ch-art-coal-black
I topped it all off with one coat of Seche Vite.
Theres my cute little monster. I love looking at his guy.

All in all I think I nailed it. I am really going to dread taking this off tomorrow :(
Please let me know what you guys think!

Crumpter 31 Day Challenge Day 10 Geometric

Hi All,
Well this was a real difficult one for me. It was one of those days where nothing came out right. I did this twice and the first time I did it it came out perfect, not until I went to clean my nails and by accident I nicked 3 nails. This is my second try at my geometric nails and it looks okay.
For this look I used 2 coats of Zoya Robyn as the base. I made freehanded triangles with Zoya Raven. For the cross I used my brand new Zoya Wednesday that came in the mail today !

I hope you guys enjoy. I have to add that the first mani I did was very different and very nice. Too bad I got mad when I ruined it and took it off before I could take pictures.

31 Day Challenge Day 1 Black and White

Hi
This is my first ever 31 day challenge and I hope I can do it all. Luckily school ends on Saturday and I will have more time to paint my nails, Yeay!. This challenge is The Crumpets Nail tarts 31 day challenge hosted by The Crumpet. 31 days of incredible nail art by me and other great bloggers and nail art lovers alike. Day 1 is black and white. And here is my black and white.

For this look I used two colors Zoya "Raven" and "Purity" both of these came in my Gilty pleasure gift box. Purity is a very creamy white, it was a bit thick for me so I added some thinner to it and it helped with the application. I used two coats of it and followed with Seche Vite before it dried ( to prevent shrinkage around the corners). I waited 20 min for this to dry.

Raven is a nice beautiful black, you can't tell from the picture but it has a slight glimmer to it and is beautiful in person. I used tape to cut out triangles and hand painted the lines. This really taught me to use a steady hand. I did this because I didn't want to wait for the black triangles to dry, but my lines didn't come out so bad.

I used black acrylic to paint to make the flower and a Sally Hansen nail art pen in white to draw the flower on the accent nail. I love making accent nails and I think this added a good finishing touch.
These are two great polishes to have on hand.

Well thats day one of the challenge, below is what will be created in the next month

Thanks and Enjoy!

Zoya Ornate Geometric Design

 Hey guys!
Today I in between studying, eating, and cleaning I had a change to work on this mani. After walking by these at my local Whole Foods many times ( yes they sell them there!)  I finally  purchased The Zoya Ornate collection. These are amazing colors for the holidays, probably the best I have purchased. I wanted to use them in a fun way that could represent the holidays but also not look like I was walking around with ornaments on my finger. I only used four of the six colors for this style. These colors all have glittery effects to them that don't over power and take away from the color of the polish. I new I had something good when my mom looked at my nails and complimented me and said " I think I might go buy that red" She hates glitter, but these she loved. So here is my design. I decided on triangles and a strip of gold. I think it turned out like wrapping paper but that's ok.

U used Zoya "Storm", "logan", and "blaze" to make the large triangles. The gold trip you see is Zoya "Ziv"

I started with two coats of Blaze which I let dry over night. I didn't want any flaws in the geometric design.

Later using masking tape I cut many, many triangles and made these triangle designs.
The black storm only needed one coat, Ziv needed two coats.

The green triangle I freehanded over the gold.
Here is my final product.

I lover using our Christmas tree as my background, my mother loves ornaments and she has 300+ b
hanging in our tree, each so beautiful in there own way

This look took me a long time to and a lot of patience, but this collection was made to be used not when the air is cold and everywhere you go you see a little sparkle of the holidays.
Thanks you for reading!
Happy Holidays!
