NCC Pastel Day 4

Hi Guys !
Today is the last post for pastel month. I decided to use an indie polish for my base. The colors are light pink and green, perfect pastel colors. The flowers added make it look like a nice china plate.

I absolutely love this base its called Adeste Fidelis. It is such a delicate polish and it is a great light backround to these roses. I wore this mani for a long time (3 days) and wear was great.

For my base I used Zoya Neely and Sally Hansen Blue-away( on pinky and thumb ).I used too many colors for the owl to name them all.

Nail Challenge Collaboration Day 2 of Pastels

Hi Guys
Today is day two of Pastel month in our group. I decided I would do a dotticure since I don't do many of those and it would be fun with pastels.

I used three different dotting tools with three different size heads for this.  I could have gotten away with using different pressures on one but I wanted to see what the dotters each did.

Have a great night
Please check out the other designs.

China Glaze Textures Swatches

Hi Guys,
Today I am super excited to show you my first "collection" of texture polishes. I do own other texture polishes such as Zoya Pixies and OPI liquid Sand, but I really wanted textured polishes without glitter. I did look for Milani at my local stores but never found them. I then found these on Amazon and had to have them all. I love them because they are all bright colors, ready for summer.

The first is called Bump and Grind, a lovely dark pink. The application for this was great, it only needed 2 coats and the texture was not overpowering the color. Lets face it, sometimes when we have texture polishes, we tend to gravitate to the texture and forget how beautiful the color is.

Itty Bitty Gritty is a nice coral. It's very different from other corals I have seen, because its a bit on the bright side. Application was smooth and only needed 2 coats.

Toe-Tally Textured is a bright orange that holds true to it's name. As you can see the texture for this one is very pronounced. In some lights you can almost see a hint of yellow in it. Application for this was not perfect. It ran at the cuticle and wanted to clump in different spots. This one was more bumpy then others in the collection.
Of course is a bright light blue. In indoor lights color is a bit darker. Application was easy and 2 coats where used.

In The Rough is  a yellow green and I know it looks really bright but I bet it would look great at a accent color.

Unrefined is what I like to call a "Barbie" pink. This is my favorite out of the bunch. Application wasn't so great ( clumpy at time) 2 coats where needed.

I wore Unrefined for 24 hours and no chipping or wear. This is a big plus for me since I spend 70 percent of my day writing and using my hands. I am really excited to have these and I cant wait to make some nail art. I would like to add that the texture is different from others like the Pixies and Milani's, but I did my hair test ( I ran my nails through my hair) and guess what? no grabbing. That definitely passes my texture test.
So will you be picking any of these up? Please share your thoughts.

Nail Challenge Collaboration PASTELS

Hello,
First and for most HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY NAIL CHALLENGE COLLABORATION! I wasn't in the group since the beginning but I am grateful to be a part of it now.  This months theme changed from what is use to be. Before themes where set up for seasons of the year, but in a very democratic manner we all decided to change it up a little bit. Every month a new theme and posts will still be done once a week. This months theme is pastels, so get ready for a lot soft manis.

I decided on purple hues for this.
Essie Play Date as a base.
Using a striper I made lines with Essie Bond with whomever and dots are Essie Go Ginza. Both colors are part of Essie's Spring Collection.

My thumb was simple and nice.

As always please check the other ladies. Thanks for reading.

Born pretty store item Review PART 1

These items where sent for review

Hi guys
Today I am reviewing a stud wheel from Born Pretty Store.

I wore each one of these looks for 24-48 hours.
All where applied with topcoat .
Wear was great, these are the smaller studs from the wheel so there is no sticking out due to nail curve.
Only one star fell of after day 2 and that was because I took a shower and I started picking at my nail.

These square studs are my favorite out of the bunch.  I applied matte coat to China Glaze liquid leather and added the studs to the tips. I love this look. I made it before going out on a Saturday and I felt like I had the coolest nails around.

This is the wheel with many different studs to choose from . It retails for $4.16 it can be found here.

I used the Stars for the Galaxy nails. The square studs ( big and small) for the black french and the small circles for the holo red.

This kit is great for trying out the bigger kits Born Pretty Store has to offer. You can probably get two looks with each stud choice in the wheel. If you are looking to cover more then one nail I suggest you find the wheel that has more of the same stud. But as you can see this wheel is great for accent nails and small little details in very simple to make manis.
Remember to use the code on the right if you do decide to purchase this or anything else. As always 10% off and free shipping!

Autism Awareness Nails

Hi
Today's post speaks is very special to me because it has a lot to do with what I do in my life. Today is Autism awareness day, and for this day many organization and people will be honoring it by wearing blue. Many cities with great building will be lighting it blue. I will be painting it blue. I am a behavior therapist, I have been working with children diagnosed with Autism for four years. I have worked with young adults as well as small little 21 month old babies. Every child I have met has a special place in my life and each one has impacted it in a enormous way. I have painfully said goodbye to many clients but at the same time I have been great full to be a significant part in their lives. I have met many parents who would give there arm and leg for their children and I am honored to have their children in my care. So here is my tribute to each and everyone of my little friends.

The puzzle is the symbol for the biggest organization dedicated to these children and young adults, Autism speaks.

I encourage everyone to wear blue today. And remember to look up at the sky today, it might be lit up.
