Nail Challenge Collaboration PASTELS

Hello,
First and for most HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY NAIL CHALLENGE COLLABORATION! I wasn't in the group since the beginning but I am grateful to be a part of it now.  This months theme changed from what is use to be. Before themes where set up for seasons of the year, but in a very democratic manner we all decided to change it up a little bit. Every month a new theme and posts will still be done once a week. This months theme is pastels, so get ready for a lot soft manis.

I decided on purple hues for this.
Essie Play Date as a base.
Using a striper I made lines with Essie Bond with whomever and dots are Essie Go Ginza. Both colors are part of Essie's Spring Collection.

My thumb was simple and nice.

As always please check the other ladies. Thanks for reading.

Tri polish Challenge Day 4

Hi
This post is a couple days late but it's still getting done. Last post for March Tri Polish Challenge. I decided to have another nude base with this mani. I like the effect and it's fun and easy.

I decided not to use the green and substituted with the white ( remember thats okay)

I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend. Take care.
Next months colors are Pink, turquoise and orange... another Yikes!

Tri Polish Challenge Day 2

Hi all
Here is my second design for the Tri Polish Challenge. As explained in the previous post, I am using the exact same polishes to create another look. What a great way to use polishes that haven't been used or are just lying around picking up dust.

Today I decided to spotlight coral. Not a big fan of corals but it's always nice to try something new. I didn't want to over power the coral with the other colors. I thought a water marble would be appropriate. I got lucky and got different tones of coral with out even trying :)

Once again These are my colors.
Nina Tangerine Dream, China Glaze Spontaneous, and Four Leaf Clover.

Stay tuned next week for the next designs..USING THE SAME NAIL POLISH!!!

Check out the other girls!

Let It Snow Challenge Longing for Summer

Hi guys
Today was a very nice day in California, or so I heard, I spent countless hours doing school stuff and having my brain blow up multiple time. Any way this weeks theme is longing for summer, and yes I am! I cant wait for hikes and the beach.. woohoo!

I used Tart-y for the Party along as my base along with four other shades from the China Glaze Avant Garden Collection. I don't care to much for purple but pastel purple is slowly starting to grow on me.
Flowers where made using a dotting tool and the following colors
Life is rosy: pink
Fancy Pants: dark purple/blue
Fade into hue: periwinkle creme
Passion for Petals:red pink

Hope you enjoy this lovely change in weather and time!

Stripes with China Glaze Avant Garden Polish

Hi guys
Here is my second nail using my new polishes from China Glaze Avant Garden Collection. This design is very different from my first post. In fact this design is very different from anything I've done before. I have to admit that when it comes to nail designs.. here it goes... I'm very girly, I love hearts and flowers and sparkle and all those yummy girly things. Even though its different I still like it.

For this look I used China Glaze Fancy Pants as my base, it a blue/purple with slight pink shimmer. For the bold lines I used Tart-y for the Party a nice pastel lilac. For my accent finger I used the previous colors along with Life is Rosy, Passion for petals, and Fade into Hue.
I used my trusty nail tape for this. I do have to admit my tape skills are improving since the first time I took the tape dive.

As my top coat I used Sally Hansen Mega Shine topcoat. It lasted 3 days with out any chips.

So what your favorite color so far? This is only my second nail art mani and I think a pastel will have the spotlight next!
Enjoy!

Krafy Gurl 2013 Valentine Collection Review

Hi guys,
Super excited to swatch my First Valentine Collection today. Todays Collection is from Jeanine of  Krafty Gurl Desings. . This is her 2013 Valentine Collection.
You can purchase these as a set on Jeanines etsy store.

Collection of 4: $20 can't beat that price.
Individual: $6.50

It is a great price and I know there is a polish for every personality here. So on with the swatches!

First up is Box of chocolates, which has small brown glitter with bits of holographic glitter.

Top: Three coats without a base color. This is so rich in dark and holographic glitter and the sparkle is really great.
Bottom: OPI Skyfall ase a base, this reminds me of chocolate covered strawberries. Application was smooth and the consistency of her formula is good.

Left with a three coats, right with a base coats. This polish is great if you don't want to add a base coat to your mani.

Next is Puppy love, it has large pink and white hexes mixed with smaller lavender and red hexes. This is great with a grey base or a light lavender. This is great if you want a mani that is light on the eyes but sparkly when it needs to be, and not to girly.

Next is Hearts a Fire. This has got to be my favorite of the bunch. When I looked at it I thought it was a nice glitter topper and that it. It was not until I actually put it on my nails, that I was blown away.

This polish is loaded with red hexes and squares of different sizes as well as black hexes and squares. The great part was to discover black bars, which brought the whole thing together. To really bring out the features of this polish, a light base seems appropriate, I used a nude OPI. I will be posting a white mani for valentine day and I used this polish and it is absolutely great with white.

Bubbles are due to topcoat application not polish.
I decided to do a bit of freehand on this. So cute with hearts. This polish just screams love!

Last is Burning Desire, a glitter top with gold and red hexes and squares. I tried with lighter colors, but I found it to really pop with a darker color like the one I used here. I applied two coats of glitter.
Zoya Natty as base color

This is different from the rest of the collection yet it stills follows the same glitter theme. It is very sophisticated and great for all of us who are not to big on valentines day.

As a whole this collection is great, they where all very easy to apply and very generous with glitter. I could have applied one application to each and been satisfied.

So tell me which best suits your valentine personality? Clearly I am a sucker for love, are you?
Enjoy!

These polishes where bough by the blogger and are reviewed for entertainment and information purposes.

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 16 Color Opposites

Hi
Today is Day 16 and it is opposites. There are a lot of colors to choose from so instead I decided to chose a color I have never worn as a base color. I chose yellow. Yellow is a very bright and lout color and what better way to tone it down then with its opposite purple. As I have mentioned before my purple stash consists of three polishes. With this mani I decided to use my favorite purple.
As mentioned before I used China Glaze Happy go lucky as my base coat. To tone it down I used China glaze Creative Fantasy, one if not the most beautiful purple jelly polish I have ever seen ( I loved this so much I already have a backup! With a dotting tool I made purple dots and then applied yellow again. On my ring finger I first painted 3 layers of Creative Fantasy, then applied two rows of stripping tape in opposite directions. I then sponged on Happy go lucky as a gradient.

I have never created a mani like this, so bold and bright. I couldn't help looking at my hands all day, it felt very Sci Fi on my nails.
Enjoy!

The Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 5 Purple

Hey
Todays post is Day 5, and today is Purple. I don't like purple, I have one purple shirt in my whole closet so it shouldn't come to a surprise when I say I only have 3 purple polishes and one of them really isn't that purple. Since my love for purple isn't feasible I decided to do something simple with the polishes I do have. I went back to the basics of nail art, a french manicure.

I used Zoya Suri for the tips and OPI Planks a lot for the flowers. The flowers where used with the biggest dotter I have. I finished with a coat of Seche Vite

I can honestly say I do like this manicure simple and sweet, even if it is purple.
Enjoy!
Please check the other ladies creations.

Zoya Aurora Christmas Nails

Hello
Quick post today. I wanted to show you my Christmas mani. I used Zoya Aurora, its part of their Ornate collection. I used the other 5 colors in a different mani and I did not use this color so I thought It would be nice to use this for Christmas. A little different but the wreath still adds the Christmas touch.

This holo looks absolutely beautiful in the natural sunlight and yesterday was a break from all the rain so I took the pictures outside.
For the wreath I used a dotting tool and  Zoya "Logan" and "Blaze"

Thanks you and have a great Christmas !
