Let It snow Challenge Winter Blues

Hi All,

Well today I definitely took this theme literally. This week is winter blues, and the last of our winter blues, because there is no more winter nails! YEAY. It's funny how my nails are in no way winter related except for the blue and white!

For this I used Sally Hansen White on and China Glaze Transitions in Modify me.

Flowers using LynBDesigns nail polish

Hi Everyone
So today I have a swatch and nail art. I recently purchased some nail polish from LynBDesigns. I say a review on Sacre Blurple and I had to get it. I love jelly polishes and my mission is to have one in every color. They are so beautiful and have so many qualities under different lights. Sacre Blurple is no exception.  Keep reading for sale at end.

This color is a deep blue/ purple polish. I got it opaque in two coats yet some might need three. I love this color it is so rich and deep.

As you can see it really makes the white art really pop out. I made the flowers using my dotting tool and Sally Hansen White on. I like using my dotting tool for nail art more then a brush because I have better control of what I am doing. On my accent finger I used glequins from Born pretty store
This blue is one of my favorites.
You can purchase this polish on LynBDesings on etsy store. Right now there is a sale of 50% of for the  next week.
Also you can like LynBdesings on Facebook. She's been having a lot of cool giveaways so tune in.
Thanks for reading!

10 Days of Valentine Day 8 Black and white tutori

Hi all
Todays mani has to be one of my favorites so far, it doesn't scream Vday, but it is very feminine, and again it's for those of you who don't care for Valentines Day. This would go great with that little black dress too.

Mani Time: 20 minutes (yeay!)

Nail Polish used
Black : Wet n Wild Ebony Hated Chris
I tried to make these mani simple and easy, as well as economical. The black I used is Wet n Wild Ebony hates Chris. This polish is non expensive and can be found anywhere. It is streaky and takes about two coats to cover ( my china glaze only needs one). For nail art it not the best because even though it say fast dry, it still streaks when you add a topcoat. If you are not willing to invest in more expensive nail polishes, it is always a good idea to invest in a good top coat such as Seche Vite. It helps to prevent streaking, I have used others and the only one I stick to is Seche Vite. Also the polish is not very shiny on its own, the topcoat made it much better and makes it last longer. I used this because like I said it's a basic black, I dont want to spend a lot on a basic black, and my topcoat saves me from disaster.

White
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear : White on
Great polish and not very expensive, dry time is great and it's great for nail art.

Glitter
Sally Hansen Gem Crush: Big Money

After the hearts do a glitter gradient on the other nails. Check out this tutorial made by Lissapolishaddiction. It's a great video to check out.

I simply loved it.. I might just do this for my Vday mani it's so simple and yet so cute.
Enjoy!

10 days of Valentine Manis Day 1 Art and Tutorial

Hi All
I am super excited to start my 10 Days of Valentines Mani. This is how it will work.

All mani are will be done in less then 30 minute ( seriously!)
First mani will be fairly simple. and under 20 minutes to achieve.

I will add to the mani for those of you who want more detail. Although I do want to mention that these will not be hard in any way and nail art will be as simple as possible, yet still beautiful.

I will suggest regular household tools, drugstore brands, and colors so everyone will be able to replicate, regardless of the tools needed ( lets improvise people!)
I will end on February 13.. that way we will actually have  time to pick a mani and create it.

ONE THE FIRST DAY OF VALENTINES DAY MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME.....HIS
HEART!

Pin ItThis is Step one mani.
First step took about 15 minute...Please let base coat completely dry. I used Sally Hansen White on. I used seche vite as a top coat which dries super fast , but other brands will dry in ten about minutes ( I didn't put topcoat on ring finger). This is important because you do not want tape to come up with your base color. If this is good enough, add topcoat to all and your done.
Next mani if you want to continue.
I used my finger paints polish for this.  A striper brush works too. If you don't have any of those you can always use an old clean liquid eyeliner brush, it works just as well.

And for the final mani... This took me 35 minutes to achieve...I think it would take less time if I wasn't taking pictures in between.
For the gradient I used my New Krafty Gurl Indie glitter polish and created a little gradient. Simple black and white dots would look great too. Dots can be achieved with a dotting tool or the end of a bobby pin. Remember the more pressure on the nail the bigger the dot. The less pressure the smaller the dot.

What do you guys think? Can you achieve this in less then 30 minutes. If you do give it a try, feel free to email me or  post it up on my facebook page.
Enjoy!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 28 Inspired by your favorite color

Hi All, Todays challenge is a design inspired my your favorite color. Well my favorite color is white, so I think it would be a little difficult to make a design with that in mind. So I decided to choose my other favorite, neutral colors. With this I combined both and made this cute and easy mani.

For this look I used Sally Hansen Choco-latte as my base, I made the lines and dots using my Finger paints Hip hip hue-ray. I used a different top coat for this and did not like it (Revlon no chip, it smears)
I like this mani a lot and like I said it was simple and not time consuming. Double plus ! Enjoy!

Let it Snow Challenge Snow Men

Hi all,
This weeks inspiration for the Challenge is Snowmen. I live in California where there is no snow, and if I want snow I have to drive four hours to lake Tahoe on a good year and find some snow. I have tried to make an snowman many times and I am proud to say that every try was a FAIL!. I wish my real snowmen came out like the ones on my nails.

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 26 Inspired by Your Country

Hi
Todays inspiration for everyone is there country. I was born in Guatemala, I haven't been there since I was four, I don't remember anything about it except my uncles farm in the woods and getting chased by a cow and riding a donkey that I couldn't get to stop. Anyway, I didn't know what to come up with except my flag. I added my little twist to it so I hope you enjoy.
Here is my beautiful Flag!

I used Zoya Robyn( light blue) and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White on. I made the picture in my middle finger with acrylic paint.
The bird is the national bird called a quetzal, also the name of our currency.

Considering I dont know much of my country, I think this is the best thing I have ever done to represent  my Guatemala.
Enjoy!

31 Day Challenge Day 1 Black and White

Hi
This is my first ever 31 day challenge and I hope I can do it all. Luckily school ends on Saturday and I will have more time to paint my nails, Yeay!. This challenge is The Crumpets Nail tarts 31 day challenge hosted by The Crumpet. 31 days of incredible nail art by me and other great bloggers and nail art lovers alike. Day 1 is black and white. And here is my black and white.

For this look I used two colors Zoya "Raven" and "Purity" both of these came in my Gilty pleasure gift box. Purity is a very creamy white, it was a bit thick for me so I added some thinner to it and it helped with the application. I used two coats of it and followed with Seche Vite before it dried ( to prevent shrinkage around the corners). I waited 20 min for this to dry.

Raven is a nice beautiful black, you can't tell from the picture but it has a slight glimmer to it and is beautiful in person. I used tape to cut out triangles and hand painted the lines. This really taught me to use a steady hand. I did this because I didn't want to wait for the black triangles to dry, but my lines didn't come out so bad.

I used black acrylic to paint to make the flower and a Sally Hansen nail art pen in white to draw the flower on the accent nail. I love making accent nails and I think this added a good finishing touch.
These are two great polishes to have on hand.

Well thats day one of the challenge, below is what will be created in the next month

Thanks and Enjoy!
Check out the other girls and their manis!
