Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 31 Recreate someone else's mani

Hi
Today is the last day of the challenge, all I can say is phew! This was my first big challenge and it was really hard to make one mani a day and, ow no, take it off the next day. Not all my manis where excellent but there sure where some that I wanted to keep for a day or two. The last challenge is recreate someone else's from the challenge and I of course, to no surprise, am recreating Alexis from Glitter tips Day 8 duochrome. You can find the original post here.

I dont have any duochrome so I decided to just do chrome. This is what I used
For index and pinky: base Sally Hansen Co-bolt Blue followed with a gradient of Wet n wild Buffy the Violet slayer, and the tips are Essie good as gold.
For the rest: OPI My boyfriend scales walls. I made the tips using the colors I used on my chrome fingers. The black used is Wet n wild Ebony hates Chris, which is not very good for dotting, I waited ten minutes before adding my top coat and it still smeared :/

Well guys what do you think did I nail it or what!
The great thing about this is
I GET TO WEAR IT FOR MORE THEN 24 HOURS YEAY!
Enjoy!
Thank you Debbie Crumpet for setting this up!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 30 Your Favorite Technique

Hi All! Today I am using my favorite technique. I don't know if it's my favorite technique, I think it's my favorite fast go to technique, which I always use. I do a lot of sponging. It's easy, you cant't mess up, and the color combinations are endless. I also added a little stamp because I am so happy my stamping skills have improved.

For this I used a nude OPI, Im sorry the little tag came off. With a sponge I did a gradient using OPI Suzi loves Cowboys. On my ring finger I sponged in any place with both colors. I used my konad stamp kit and stamped some leopard on my ring finger.
Closeup!
Here is what the nude looked on its own. This color was really sheer, 3 coats where applied and opacity was not reached but that okay.
I love this look, it's natural and work friendly.

On a side note I am doing a series of tutorials in March, feel free to look up some looks you would like me to cover.

Thanks Please check out the other ladies!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 29 Inspired by a blogger

Hi
Well todays challenge is super fun for me because I get to talk about my favorite blogger Alexis from  Glittertips. I recently started following her after the 31 Day Challenge began and I was in total amazement when I saw all the beautiful nail art she makes. Everything she creates seems to unite so perfectly.  She is a British blogger and I am totally jealous of all the great polish she has available to her that I don't. In her honor my inspiration came from her blog's name, glitter tips.

For this look I used:
Wet n Wild ' Ebony Hates Chris as my base. One coat was very streaky, I had to apply two coats.
For the glitter tips: Sally Hansen  Gem Crush Big Money under China Glaze Hello Gorgeous!
I topped it off with Revlon no chip topcoat
Love love love this look, the black really made the glitter pop!
Thank you Alexis for your inspiring blog.
Enjoy!

The Crumpets 31 Day Challenge Gold with China Glaze Champagne Kisses

Hello everyone!
Today is day three of The Crumpets 31 Day Challenge and the theme is GOLD!. I have the same feelings about gold as I do about silver, way too much shine to be worn alone. Alone this polish looks very simple, a lot of bling, but simple. I added simple flowers to balance out this intense color.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Champagne kisses. Without a top coat this polish is gritty and has a lot of sparkle but no gloss. to build a gloss I added two coats of Seche Vite ( the first coat was absorbed) Using a dotting tool I made flowers using China Glaze liquid leather and Italian red.
This is such a vibrant gold and the only way to show you how much is glistens was to take the pictures in natural light. It is absolutely beautiful.
As you can see I made black flowers followed by by smaller flowers made with Champagne Kisses. I finished with China Glaze Italian red in the middle.

The flowers were great and the gold still pops. All together it was a good balance. Would you wear this color on its own?
Enjoy
Please Check out the other creations.

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 28 Inspired by your favorite color

Hi All, Todays challenge is a design inspired my your favorite color. Well my favorite color is white, so I think it would be a little difficult to make a design with that in mind. So I decided to choose my other favorite, neutral colors. With this I combined both and made this cute and easy mani.
For this look I used Sally Hansen Choco-latte as my base, I made the lines and dots using my Finger paints Hip hip hue-ray. I used a different top coat for this and did not like it (Revlon no chip, it smears)
I like this mani a lot and like I said it was simple and not time consuming. Double plus ! Enjoy!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 27 Inspired by myself

Hi
Today is a really fun post that made me think a lot about my self. What people mostly know about me is that I spend a lot of time with kids. If I'm not at work with my lil toddler clients, then I'm with my little cousin on saturdays at the park, or watching cartoons. Ever since I can remember I love working with children, as a youth council, or high school tutor, children have always been part of my life. When I graduated from UC Davis I started working with children who where on the autism spectrum. For the last four years that has been my life, going to work and coming home to study for my certificate and as a board certified behavior analyst, another great way to improve my interaction with my lil guys.  The official colors for Autism Speaks is blue and the logo usually has a puzzle piece. This was my inspiration for my mani.
I made puzzle pieces and a face on my thumb. A lot of people have a misconception about these kids, usually that they cant show affection, and will never look you in the eye. Well I've had many kids run to me and hug me and look at me in the eyes and smile. I've experienced many things with these kids and it has blessed my life in many ways.

I hope you enjoy this post, to me it made me appreciate my lil clients a lot more and I am glad I get to help them become better in life.
Enjoy

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 26 Inspired by Your Country

Hi
Todays inspiration for everyone is there country. I was born in Guatemala, I haven't been there since I was four, I don't remember anything about it except my uncles farm in the woods and getting chased by a cow and riding a donkey that I couldn't get to stop. Anyway, I didn't know what to come up with except my flag. I added my little twist to it so I hope you enjoy.
Here is my beautiful Flag!

I used Zoya Robyn( light blue) and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White on. I made the picture in my middle finger with acrylic paint.
The bird is the national bird called a quetzal, also the name of our currency.

Considering I dont know much of my country, I think this is the best thing I have ever done to represent  my Guatemala.
Enjoy!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 25 Inspired by childhood.

Hi Guys!
When I think of my childhood I think of two things, candy and halloween. Ow I remember the days when I could eat sweets and not have to worry about anything except making sure I had some for the next day. Nowadays eating candy is not the smartest thing to do. My mani is inspired by my beautiful youth.

For this look I used my brand new Tough as Nails Lacquer 43 Quintillion over Essie , orange is obvious. I used this because these days the only place I wear orange is to a Giants game, or baseball season. When I was a kid I would wear orange and yellow and brown, ALL TOGETHER ( back in the day!)
43 Quintillion is loaded with small gold, red, green, and blue hexagons and tiny micro white glitter. Only one application was needed and a little came a long way. The formula was perfect for easy application, no clumps just easy smooth application.
As you can see I painted lots of candy with acrylic paint. YUM YUM!

43 Quintillion is 3 Free

I loved this polish and this pretty mani, very outgoing design for my taste!
You can get Tough as nails Lacquer at their Etsy Shop
Enjoy!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 24 Inspired by a game

Hi
Todays Challenge is inspired by a game. Well this wasn't very hard for me, I'm a gamer inside and I love it. I have a Wii at home and love Mario Bros. On my phone I have a lot of puzzle game. So when I saw todays challenge, I thought of only one game CONTRE JOUR. A very fun game with a very cute "monster" the object of the game is to get him to the "light". The music is so beautiful and serene, I could play this all day, and I have :).
For this look I used the following
Base : Two coats of OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!
For the sponging I first layered Zoya Carey and then Maybeline Porcelan Party .
For the little flowers and details and my little monster I used Finger Paints Nail art In Ch-art-coal-black
I topped it all off with one coat of Seche Vite.
Theres my cute little monster. I love looking at his guy.

All in all I think I nailed it. I am really going to dread taking this off tomorrow :(
Please let me know what you guys think!
Enjoy
Check out the rest!

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 23 Inspired by nature

Hi All Todays challenge is one that I enjoyed making very much. Inspired by nature, when I think of this I immediately think of Daisy, my favorite flower, when I get married, they will be my flowers along with sunflowers. I loved this idea of painting nature on my nails. I think everyone should do it since everyones inspiration is different, yet we are all doing the same thing.

I used Zoya Purity to sponge on the white clouds. The flowers where done with white acrylic paint

This has to be one of my favorite manis, and making the flowers on my right hand wasn't so hard so it was fun to wear.

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 22 Inspired by a Fabric

Hi All
I cant believe I am actually on track with all these nail creations. It's shown me how much I can do with my nail art besides a couple dots here and there. Todays challenge is one which does not require my brain to work a lot. Inspiration from a fabric is the theme for today. When I saw this I ran to my favorite shirt this winter. My mother gave me this shirt and I absolutely love it, and the pattern is simple and nice. Today I used it as my back round.
For this look I used my new Transitions polish from China Glaze. I don't have a dark blue polish and I was really bummed, but then I remember I had this polish year!. For the dots I used Zoya Rekha, Helen, and purity. For the "buttons" I used Essie good as gold and I used some black rhinestones from the born pretty store.

I should have worn this shirt when I had this mani, but it was way to cold to wear such a sheer shirt. NEXT TIME! Enjoy

Crumpet 31 Day Challenge Day 21 Melt/Merge

Hi I made it before the end of the day YEAH! Today post is melt/merge something I have never done before so I decided to do both. I think merge is gradient or ombre and the idea of something melting on my nails sounds pretty cool. So here it is.
Fo this I used China Glaze : Happy go lucky,OPI Strawberry Margarita, and Zoya Rekha. All these colors where used for the ombre and for the melting paint on the accent nail. The black used is China Glaze Liquid leather.

Its great  feel like my nails are on fire, but melting at the same time!
Enjoy
