Let it Snow Challenge! Inspired by a song

Hello!
This weeks challenge was really fun for me and Im so proud of myself because I learned a lot about patients ( by that I mean letting nail polish dry!). So the song I chose is " Your a mean one Mr. Grinch" Yup! that is my all time favorite song! I wait for that original cartoon movie to come on ABC every year so I can hear it. I know that Christmas is about love, family, etc etc but its great that there is something fun like the Grinch to make us appreciate what we do and receive during these festive time. And with out further typing here it is!

I am really happy with how it came out. I tried my hardest to achieve his sinister smile and red eyes. So let me break it down for the rest of my fingers!

Per the song
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel,
Mr. Grinch.
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel.

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders.
You've got garlic in your soul, Mr Grinch.
I wouldn't touch you with a
Thirty-nine and a half foot pole.

 http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/g/grinch.html
You're a rotter Mr Grinch
You're the king of sinful sots
Your hearts a dead tomato squashed with moldy purple spots
Mr Grinch
And here is a portrait of the Mr. Grinch himself

I wouldn't touch you with a
Thirty-nine and a half foot pole!!!!!!
( THATS MY POLE :) )

I hope everyone enjoys this nail art I have done. It might not be the prettiest I've done but I definitely think it one of my favorites .
Thank you and enjoy! Please check out the other girls creations!

Zoya Purple Love

Hello!
Today I didn't have a lot of time, what with decorating our family Christmas tree and work and my wonderful  boyfriend bugging me, so I decided a simple manicure would do. I did it after we picked out the Christmas tree and decorating  ( I could just imagine the things that tree would do to my manicure  :/  ) . I used my two brand new shades I got from Zoya. Today I will show step by step. I decided it would be fun to make the background my Christmas tree with my favorite ornaments DISCO BALLS!. Who said December colors are only red and green? What about other colors! They look just as beautiful.

For this look I used Zoya " Lael" as the base coat. Its a nice jelly purple. I should have used three layers of it as my base, there where small batches that where not covered. I also used Zoya "Julieanne" a the zigzag tips. I think the contrast between these is subtle yet it works well. Neither of the colors out due each other, they work in great harmony.
To make the peaks I used scotch tape and cut many triangles of different sizes. I then layered them onto my nails. Then I added Juileanne to the tips, removing immediately making sure not to pull off to quickly. I finishes the look with two coats of Seche Vite.

I think it turned out okay, considering I had my honey next to me asking me what I was doing every five seconds. Next time I will wait a bit longer for the base color to dry because I did get some smudge after I took the tape off.
Enjoy and thanks for reading!

Let It Snow! Challenge MY FIRST!

Hi
Today I am super excited because I have joined my first challenge with a bunch of great ladies.  You can join the Nail Challenge Collaborative on Facebook. The challenge is called Let it snow! and the first week is Snowflakes. I had always seen other blogs with challenges and I finally have the opportunity to join one. So this is my art of Snowflakes.

For this I used OPI " I juggle..men" as a base coat. The pictures I used don't do justice to it. It looks like a clear base coat but really it has micro bits of glitter. For the tips I used OPI "Save me" . I applied it only to the tips because I wanted to create a floor where all the snowflakes "fall". U used Konad M59 for the snowflakes. I stamped the snowflakes in different parts of my nails because in reality snow flakes don't fall in the same place all the time. I added little dots with China Glaze " The ten man" I topped the look off with two coats of Seche Vite.

I simply love this look and I can tell you that it looks better in real life then in pictures I tried really hard to photograph it as best as I could.

Here is the rest of our challenges for the upcoming week!

ENJOY!
Please look at what the other ladies have submitted !
